Greetings to you and welcome to another great and glorious week
Having explored the Gifts of the Holy Spirit last week, this week I’ll like to take a look at the Fruit of the Holy Spirit.
Galatians 5:22-23 ” But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” KJV
According to the verses of scripture above, the components of the Fruit of the Spirit are virtues visible in the life of a believer, as a result of the Presence of the Holy Spirit at work in him or her, evident in his or her lifestyle.
As believers, we are expected to live a lifestyle that emulates Christ but this can only be possible when we allow the Fruit of the Spirit to grow in us.
The Holy Spirit is the Power of God and that Power manifests through believers in different dimensions through the operations of the various Gifts of the Spirit. It however does not end there; the Holy Spirit also imparts into us the nature of Christ, so that we can live a lifestyle that gives Glory to God.
In one of His sermons, Jesus Christ, revealed that on the last day, even many who did great works in His Name will be denied eternity in Heaven because, in His own words, they were “workers of iniquity;” meaning that they had the Gifts of the Spirit working through them but lacked the Fruit of the Spirit. Interestingly, it is not strange to see very much of that these days.
The fruits a man produces are more important than the gifts he possesses; therefore I’ll like you to strive always to live a life pleasing to God by allowing in you, the Fruit of the Spirit.
God BLESS you.
