Greetings to you and welcome to another great and glorious week.
For the rest of the month, I will be writing on the Holy Spirit and I’d like to begin the series by examining the Names of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is called different names in the Bible, some of which are: The Comforter, The Spirit of Christ, the Spirit of Truth, The Spirit of Holiness, The Spirit of Grace, The Spirit of Life, The Spirit of Glory…just to mention a few. Although these names are different, they are all accorded to the same person – The Holy Spirit.
These names simply describe certain attributes, functions or qualities of the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 12:4 ” Now God gives us many kinds of special abilities, but it is; the same Holy Spirit who is the source of them all.”TLB

For instance, in John 14:16, He was introduced by Jesus to His disciples as Comforter. That name was very appropriate at the moment because they needed comfort after learning that Jesus would leave them soon. In like manner, the Holy Spirit manifests Himself to believers in various dimensions based on the need per time.
He manifests as the Spirit of Power, the Spirit of Faith, the Spirit of Knowledge, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of servanthood, the Spirit of guidance, the Spirit of Love, the Spirit of vision, the Spirit of boldness, the Spirit of meekness, the Spirit of obedience and lots more

It is very interesting to know that the same Holy Spirit is able to meet all our needs, based on the numerous attributes He has, as evident in His names.

Begin this week with the understanding that there is no need of yours that cannot be met, no question in your heart that lacks an answer; and there is no challenge that has no solution. All you need to do is to understand the dimension of the Holy Spirit to engage and call on His Name.

Have a great week, filled with Thanksgiving!
