Greetings to you in the Name of Jesus Christ and welcome to the final episode of our series on the Power of the Tongue, I’ll like us to address one very good use of the tongue, therefore, our focus this week will be on The Praying Tongue.
In the last three weeks, we learned how not to use the tongue – especially as it relates to the subject of the Supernatural, and this week, I will like us to end this series on a positive note, by understudying the Power of the praying tongue.
“. . . The earnest prayer of a righteous man has great power and wonderful results” [James 5:16 – (TLB)]
The verse of scripture above explains the Power of a praying tongue. The subsequent verse (vs.17) references Elijah who through his prayers, displayed his command of the Supernatural and determined when it should rain and when it should not rain in the land of Israel.
Prayer does not only change things: it also changes people. This is the reason Satan hates to see us use our tongues to pray because he knows that prayer enhances our command in the realm of the Spirit.
The Gospels have a record of the amazing wonders of the earthly ministry of Jesus. A study of the life of Jesus Christ reveals that He was a man who understood and put to use, the power of the praying tongue. Many times, it was recorded that he withdrew Himself at certain times to engage his tongue in prayers. Little wonder that the Bible says He was a man approved of God with the command of the Supernatural (Acts 2:22).
As we end this month and cross over into the month of August, I implore you to make good use of your tongue by engaging in effectual, fervent, and heartfelt prayers and as you do so, I guarantee that the rest of the year will be better than the first seven months of the year.
God BLESS you.
