Greetings to you in the Name of Jesus Christ and welcome to Week 2 of the month of July 2019. This week, we will begin exploring the subject:  The Power of the Tongue in an interesting 4-part series; I trust that by the end of this series, God (by His Spirit) will properly instruct us all on the proper use of the tongue.

Operating in the Supernatural requires a level of mastery in the art of speaking. With our tongue, we can create (speak things into existence) and with it too, we can declare things that limit us to the natural realm. Against this backdrop, this week, we will be looking at The Hasty Tongue.

Like you already know, there is power in your tongue. That power could be used either positively or negatively and many Christians have fallen victims to the wrong use of it. This is why I have decided to dedicate this entire month to explore some areas of caution when it comes to the proper use of the tongue.

Proverbs 18:21    “Wht you say can mean life or death. Those who speak  with care will be rewarded.”  –  NCV

The Bible warns us not to be hasty in giving answers (Proverbs 18:13)because wrong words can bring us shame. Every time a word is spoken, they are“gone” and once gone, they can never be recovered. This is why it is wise to take the time to weigh our words before we release them. When we become hasty, we may have to apologize and live with the regret and/or consequence(s) of words we had spoken.

It is interesting to note that even in making a commitment to God, He expects us to not speak in haste, so we don’t say what we really don’t mean (Ecclesiastes 5:2-7).

The cure for being plagued by the malady of a hasty speech is thinking thoroughly before speaking and also filling our minds with right contents, so as to have a thought pattern that agrees and aligns with the WORD of God.

Commit yourself today to think through before you speak so you won’t become a victim of the hasty tongue.

Thanks and continue to scale new heights and attain new levels.

God BLESS you.
