Greetings to you in the Name of Jesus Christ and welcome to Week 2 of our series on Praise Neutralizers. This week, our focus is on another neutralizer of Praise called DOUBT.
As mentioned in my teaching this past Sunday, Praise can be defined as the celebration of God for who He is; therefore Praise focuses of the admiration of God for His personality and also for His abilities. If you believe in God and in His abilities to perform in whichever area you need Him, you will praise Him. On the other hand, if you doubt His ability to perform, it will hinder you from praising Him.
Isaiah 38:20 ” . . . The Lord will surely save me; So we will play my songs on stringed instruments. All the days of our life at the house of the Lord.” NASB
The verse of scripture above were the words of King Hezekiah, who praised God because of his faith in the ability of God to save him from death. Remember also, Abraham, whose body was weak and wife’s womb dead, but yet still praised God because he did not doubt the ability of God to give them a son, in their old age; the state of their bodies notwithstanding. (Romans 4:20).
The presence of doubt in a man’s heart will choke praise but faith in the heart makes room for the flow of Praise.
There is so much to be grateful for and God is still able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond our expectations. He never changes (Mal.3:6), therefore give no room to doubt in your heart, have strong Faith in God’s ability and let High Praise flow from you to Him.
God BLESS you.
