Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and welcome to the last week of this great month.
To conclude this month’s series on Health and Wholeness, I’ll like us to examine one other vital key to health and wholeness. It is what I call: The Key of Exercitation.
Exercitation in this context simply means engaging in Physical Exercises.
1 Timothy 4:8 “As the saying goes, Exercise is good for your body. . . ” CEV
The verse of scripture above is part of a charge by the great Apostle Paul to his spiritual son, Timothy. Although mentioned briefly and said to be of lesser profit than godliness, the statement lays credence to the fact that physical exercises are profitable to the body.
Physical Exercises help the body in maintaining physical fitness and medical professionals have proven that exercises, among other things, help both the cardiovascular system and the immune system, not to mention its numerous benefits on other systems in the human body. Sadly, however, many Christians neglect to give this key to sound health, the attention it deserves.
Man is a triune being, made up of spirit, soul, and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23); therefore, as we give attention to keeping the spirit alive & sensitive; and the mind sound, the body must not be neglected because it houses both the spirit and the soul.
Always remember that bodily exercise has profits (regardless of how little it may appear) and the little profit it gives is better than no profit at all.
