Greetings to you in the Name of Jesus Christ our LORD and SAVIOR; and welcome to Week 3 of our series. As we continue exploring the Keys to Great Success, I will like us to address yet another outstanding key to success. It is the Key of Diligence.
One thing I want to first drive home today is that no one succeeds in life by accident or luck. As a matter of truth, every genuine success is a product of diligence; whether in business, sport, academics or ministry.
According to www.dictionary.com, to be diligent means “to be constant in effort to accomplish something; attentive and persistent in doing anything.
This definition is very enlightening because it confirms the assertion that success is not attained by just doing a thing, but by doing it with constant effort in order to accomplish something.
Little wonder then that not all who work succeed. The obvious reason could be because they do not put in constant and relentless effort into their “work”. This is what defines diligence.
King Solomon of Israel was a very successful King; one of the profound statements he made is seen below:
Proverbs 22:29 “Do you see a man diligent and skillful in his business? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.“ AMPC
The verse of Scripture above clearly reveals that your placement in life is determined by your diligence.
I urge you therefore not just to work, but be constant in your effort. Do not relent, be persistent and be result-oriented because your outstanding success is a function of your diligence.
God BLESS you!
