Exemption Greetings to you and welcome to Week 2 of the month of July 2017.Last week, we began exploring a very important subject – Vision (Divine Plan & Purpose) and Divine Direction. The subject of vision is a very important one because God desires that we live in accordance with his grand plan (design) for our lives.

This week, we will be looking at yet another pitfall on our paths to fulfilling destiny. It is a major mistake a lot of people make while pursuing God’s plan and purpose – the mistake of WRONG ASSOCIATION.

There are a lot of people with big visions and glorious destinies who have failed and fallen short of fulfilling their visions in life because they became victims of the negative influence of keeping wrong association.

“Just as iron sharpens iron, friends sharpen the minds of each other. “ Proverbs 27:17 – CEV

It is wisdom to only crowd yourself with “friends” whose association will help you to fulfill your God-given vision. This is because a great God-given vision can be single-handedly aborted/killed because of our association with Dream Killers.

As a matter of fact, whenever a vision is received from God, bearing in mind that our association will either contribute to the fulfillment of that vision or become a hindrance, it is expedient to evaluate our current association so as to determine who is safe to keep around us.

In Acts 15:36-41, Paul considered his association with John Mark as being detrimental to his vision, so he parted ways with Barnabas who insisted on having an association with this fellow, who was not fully engaged in the pursuit of that vision. Not long after he made that wise decision, that Paul became a giant in the Kingdom and Barnabas faded away.

A genuine pursuit of God’s plan for our lives will always cost us some friends, so I beseech you to be courageous enough to part ways with unproductive friendships and association because you have a glorious destiny.

God BLESS you.
