Greetings to you in the Name of Jesus Christ our LORD and SAVIOR; and welcome to Week 3 of our series. As we continue on The Blessing of the LORD as it relates to our finances. This week, I will like us to address the key of Generosity.
One of the secrets of being BLESSED is to be a generous giver. According to 2 Corinthians 9:10, God multiples the seeds we sow. That is the singular reason the system of the world will always contradict the system of the Kingdom of God. The system of the world teaches us to accumulate as much as we can whereas in the kingdom system, we increase in wealth by giving.
“ One person is generous and yet grows more wealthy, but another withholds more than he should and comes to poverty.” ► [Proverbs 11:24 (NET)]
“ One person is generous and yet grows more wealthy, but another withholds more than he should and comes to poverty.” ► [ Proverbs 11:25 (NLT)]
The scripture above confirms that being generous is a virtue of the soul (or the heart). Generosity has to do more with attitude than the amount of money we have. It is the liberality of the soul that sets the pace for the prosperity the hand will handle.
In Genesis 13:5, Abraham enjoyed the blessings of the LORD because he was a giver. In the days of Apostle Paul, he visited many churches while on his missionary trips but he testified of the generosity of the Macedonians. In his epistle in 2 Corinthians 8, he revealed to us how in poverty and a great trial of affliction, the Macedonians gave liberally and how things turned around for them.
Think of it, in the natural sense, it is supposed to be the other way but the Kingdom of God is full of mysteries. That is why Your tithes, offerings and all other forms of giving towards Kingdom advancement become keys that open doors of Supernatural blessings.
I am confident that it is your due time for a change of level but we all need to always remember that it takes generosity to prosper (Proverbs 11:24-25).
God BLESS you.
